"The question isn't who's going to let me; it's who's going to stop me.”
- Ayn Rand
You know the moment, don’t you? When, despite facing any or all odds, you make a choice that resonates internally with feelings of fulfillment, joy and freedom. Whether we call it following our instincts, or experience it as pursuing a dream, or are learning how to trust our own intuitions, empowerment resides there. Attainment is not reserved for just a few, it is within all of us.
Our practice of the Bowspring is a powerful metaphor for unveiling our most courageous selves. From the very center of our Radiant Heart our wings are a physical expression of our truest nature when we are on our own authentic path. Each hand and arm expression is a guide with which we may practice the balance between expansion and contraction and discover in our bodies the feeling of being truly light. The urge to extend our wings in a posture of triumph is in no small way a reflection of how much we have been compelled to grow through our practice - inside and out. Once we have uncovered the true extent of our own capacity, it is no longer a question of who will let you live your best life, it is a question of how you are going to do so.
Each of us have an internal compass. In what direction is yours pointing? Let courage be a star to which you hitch your wagon and explore every day. There’s no one here who can stop you.
I’ll see each of you on your mats.
